Alum Events: Strengthening Connections Across the Globe

UWC Costa Rica is excited to share the success of three recent alum events held across different locations, reinforcing the strong bonds within our global community.
These gatherings brought together UWC Costa Rica alums, families, and friends, offering a unique opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and look toward the future of our beloved institution.

A Special Gathering at the Future UWC Costa Rica Campus

The first alum event took place at the site of our future new campus in San Isidro, Heredia. This gathering was a landmark moment as alums from across the entire UWC movement, not just UWC Costa Rica, had an exclusive opportunity to preview the construction and future plans for the College. The event was filled with storytelling, networking, and photo-sharing, allowing attendees to relive cherished memories while envisioning the next chapter for UWC Costa Rica.

Connecting with Alums in Boston and Washington, D.C.

Following the San Isidro event, UWC Costa Rica staff hosted two additional gatherings in Boston and Washington, D.C., welcoming alums, board members, family, and friends residing in these areas. These intimate reunions fostered an incredible sense of connection, with past and new friends coming together to celebrate the spirit of UWC. Attendees also received an inside look at the progress of the new campus and the exciting developments ahead.

Looking Ahead: The 2025 Alum Reunion

One of the key highlights of all three events was the preview of the upcoming 2025 Alum Reunion, a monumental occasion inviting alums from all graduating classes back to campus in July 2025. This reunion will be a chance to say farewell to our current home as we prepare for the transition to our new campus. More details will be shared soon, so stay tuned!

Strengthening Alum Engagement

These events align with the new alum engagement strategy, which was shared with and validated by all attendees. The feedback and insights gathered will play a crucial role in enhancing the alum experience moving forward. UWC Costa Rica remains committed to fostering meaningful connections and ensuring that our alums continue to feel engaged with the College.
