We are excited as we prepare to welcome the first visitors to our new campus in San Isidro de Heredia!
Students, alums, and major stakeholders will soon get a firsthand look at the progress and promise of this incredible project. Here's a sneak peek at what we've been working on regarding the development of our new campus and how we are getting ready for our first wave of visitors on the property:
Safety First!
September 30th: We have implemented a comprehensive occupational safety protocol to manage all visits to the construction site. This ensures a secure and informative experience for everyone.
October 5th: We have identified a solution for a damaged access road, and repairs began on October 5th, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey to our new campus.
Community Connections
September 10th: Educator Norman Durán and student Maria Paula '26 from Costa Rica led a wonderful community engagement activity for National Children's Day, strengthening our bond with the residents of San Isidro. This ongoing collaboration ensures a warm welcome and shared excitement for our new campus.
Local Support: We are proud that 37% of the Van der Laat y Jiménez employees, our construction partner, are San Isidro de Heredia residents. This reflects our commitment to involving the local community in the development and expansion of our campus.
Construction Highlights:
Land Movements:Traesa, responsible for land movements, has achieved 92% completion and is projected to finish on October 26th.
Infrastructure Work: Van der Laat y Jiménez, responsible for the infrastructure work, achieved 7% advancement in their third week working on the new campus. These two things keep us right on schedule for our grand opening!
September 24th:Equipos Nieto visited to fine-tune the design of our state-of-the-art kitchen. This collaboration guarantees that our culinary facilities will be both functional and efficient, supporting our commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals for our community.
September 25th: We gathered valuable feedback from our current students about the social spaces on the new campus. This input will help us create dynamic and welcoming areas that foster community and collaboration.
We can't wait to share this exciting new chapter with you! Stay tuned for more updates and details about visiting our new home in San Isidro.
