At the Teatre Liceu in Barcelona, Nora ’26 and Adriana ’26 participated in the prestigious Premios Princesa de Girona gala, celebrating young leaders in entrepreneurship, social action, research, and the arts.

Celebrating Alum Academic & Professional Achievements
Sam Brakarsh ’17 (Zimbabwe)
Currently pursuing a J.D. at Stanford Law School, Sam’17 holds degrees from Yale University and the University of Oxford. Sam recently authored and secured the passage of the landmark African Union Resolution on Artistic Freedom. From protecting persecuted artists to advising on public health and digital governance, Sam continues to champion global human rights and systemic change.
Jimena Song ’24 (Costa Rica)
Jimena ’24 is currently interning at the U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica. They recently co-hosted an employee award ceremony alongside the embassy’s Human Resources team, gaining firsthand experience in institutional recognition and workplace excellence.
Carla Fontaine-Santorromán Saldana ’24 (Spain)
Carla ’24 has secured a prestigious summer research internship at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. Additionally, Carla has been appointed as a professor’s research assistant for a two-year cancer study and will participate in an Erasmus exchange in Canada.
Kiva Lucero ’23
Kiva’23 recently completed a dynamic fellowship as a Digital Marketer in Times Square, where they managed content strategy, graphic design, and live event coverage for social channels. “Being a Digital Marketer in such a dynamic and iconic place as Times Square is an experience I’ll always look back on fondly… I am walking away from this fellowship with fast turnaround, brand guidelines for graphics, and live event coverage for socials.”
Lorenzo Rodo ’24
Lorenzo’24 competed in the Italian Negotiation Competition alongside colleague Edoardo Pozzi, testing strategic negotiation skills in a high-level environment. “Looking back, it was a truly transformative experience and an incredible opportunity to test ourselves in such a strategic, high-level environment.”
Sophie Ellison ’23
Sophie’23 graduated from the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University with a BSc (Hons) in Architecture and is beginning a Part 1 Architectural Assistant placement with Network Rail in Bristol.
