New Sustainable Campus
On November 8th, a group of 20 students, accompanied by our General Director Mauricio Viales and Student Council Coordinator Steven de Souza, embarked on an unforgettable journey to our new campus under construction. This milestone visit offered an up-close look at the site that will soon transform into a vibrant space for learning, growth, and connection.
The day began at the distribution center, where the project team welcomed us with an in-depth presentation on the campus’s development plans. Students listened attentively, brimming with curiosity and excitement, embodying the core values of curiosity and engagement that UWC Costa Rica strives to cultivate. The detailed insights into the architectural vision and sustainability initiatives ignited their imaginations about the possibilities that lay ahead.
This visit was more than just a tour; it was a significant step in our transition to the new campus. It gave students and staff alike a chance to connect with the land and envision the vibrant community life that will flourish there. The day’s explorations reinforced our commitment to creating a space that harmonizes with nature and fosters transformative educational experiences.
The outing concluded on a warm note, thanks to Chef Rafa’s delicious snacks prepared for the group. As everyone gathered to share smiles and reflections, the sense of gratitude and excitement was palpable.
This visit reminds us of the incredible journey we are on together. It reflects our dedication to building an inspiring and sustainable campus for future generations, incorporating eco-friendly designs, renewable energy systems, and green spaces that align with our mission to harmonize with the environment. As construction progresses, we look forward to sharing more milestones and inviting the entire UWC Costa Rica community to be a part of this transformative chapter.
